Welcome to Baldwin&

Welcome to our website. You’ll notice that there are no fancy Flash acrobatics or whizzy-bangy animated navigation. That’s for a very definite reason. Agency websites have become insane places that are hard to navigate, max out your bandwidth and generally make it very difficult to find what you’re looking for.

Our philosophy is that a website is a tool. In fact, someone once said to me that if your website isn’t a tool you are. Sure it’s an expression of the brand, sure it should be cool, but it should be easy and useable. So we’ve opted for a very simple blog. Our site will live and breathe and change almost daily. We can add content at will. If you find it hard to navigate, tell us and we’ll get on it immediately. We’re also including tags to make accessing anything you want very easy to find

Welcome and let us know what you think.

Please don’t take this comment as snark, I agree with the concept of simplified page design. but…

I think the picture of the Herman Miller chairs on this page should be much lower resolution. It takes far too long to load, which hurts the user experience that your promoting. Your only using it as artistic gloss and displaying it as a small box on your page layout so there is no need for high resolution. In fact most computers displaying this picture will alias the heck out of it creating a much poorer image quality on screen.

Hey, thanks for the input Steve. Done and done.

We had made it larger because we thought seeing the paper conference room up close would be interesting to people. But if it’s affecting the user experience it’s obviously not worth it.

  3. Love your site David! Off to explore your work now and looking forward to it.

Hear, hear. Soooo refreshing to see an agency website that isn’t as bloated and over-sized as their ego…Looking forward to coming back often to see great new creative from your agency!

May I perhaps toss my name in the hat to be a new crew member? Out-of-work adman/internet marketing guy needs a new shop to call home.

Best of luck in your new venture!

    • Greg Meny says:

Love the simplicity and the roles of your staff. Obviously, they are ad pro’s but its nice to see another side of their lives. If you ever need a topnotch creative producer for those integrated or broadcast projects, I’d love to help.
